The privacy policy of Mid Suffolk Foot care adheres to and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) launched on 25th May 2018. All personal / medical details you provide (Data) will be processed and stored in accordance with the best practice described in the GDPR and General Data Protection.

This document sets out the Privacy Notice of Mandy Steed, Mid Suffolk Foot Care, who provides an independent foot care service in the Suffolk Area. Any use of ‘I’, ‘me’, ‘my’ and ‘myself’ in this document refers to Mandy Steed. I am registered as a ‘Data Controller’ with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

My lawful basis for processing and storing personal information is one of ‘legitimate interest’ (under Article 6 of the GDPR). Since I am unable to deliver a service to the client without processing personal information and medical details, I have a ‘legitimate interest’ to process and store the client’s data, as a necessity for service delivery and to benefit the client. This website may collect anonymous data about you by using temporary cookies that reports usage anonymously to additional third-party Analytics tracking. This simply helps us to understand what pages are popular and how our site is used in order to provide better services.

Contact forms

If you use the contact form you agree to send your personal enquiry details to Mid Suffolk Foot Care in order to process an initial contact, general enquiry or appointment detail with yourself or a third party acting on your behalf. Data sent will only be retained if you are / or become a customer of Mid Suffolk Foot Care.

Treatment Plans and Medical History

Personal information is initially obtained in the general enquiry or self-referral process, via my website, email or telephone, and will need to include client/parent/carer contact details. (Data) If you make an enquiry with Mid Suffolk Foot Care I will require some medical history before your treatment can commence. Your consent will be required to gain information about any medical conditions you may have and details of any medication you are currently prescribed and taking. On occasions additional information may also be required from, or reported to other professionals such as your Doctor. It is solely your decision and consent is required to allow me to do so. If you become a customer and take up a foot care plan I will keep a log of treatments undertaken and appointments we have. Any Treatment plan will be agreed.

Your data is not shared or exported for any third-party commercial or marketing purpose.

Storage and retention

Personal information is stored in a secure and confidential system and processed only by me for the specific and legitimate purpose of assessment and delivering, and recording, Mid Suffolk Foot Care services. Data is retained for only as long as it is necessary to do so to reply to your enquiry or whilst you are a client of / or within a foot treatment plan with Mid Suffolk Foot Care. If you do not become a customer or undertake a Foot Care Treatment plan then this personal information is deleted and not stored.

Rights you have over your data held with us

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
